Five1Nyne

Alex Quintana (Left) and Jose Perez (Right) met in Orlando, FL, many years ago. Since the beginning, they've always made music in the R&B/Pop, Pop, Soul, and Singer/songwriter genres. After a long break, they reconnected to start making music again, this time with hip-hop-influenced beats, jazz chords, and cinematic sounds, which ultimately characterize the sound of Five1Nyne. 

Jose is a naturally talented songwriter who typically starts creating the songs of Five1Nyne. Alex tends to focus on the production and engineering space, making this duo a self-sufficient team that is perfect for making and releasing music independently. 

The artist's name Five1Nyne stems from the book of Ephesians 5:19, "...make melodies from your hearts to the Lord.." We aim to make music for all ages that brings truth, hope, and love to a fallen world, in a culturally relevant sound, with the ultimate goal of honoring the Creator of all things. We are a remote artist duo who makes all of our music remotely, but that won't stop us from putting out the music that the world needs to hear.
